Hello old friends and past Gintaras organisers, musicians , singers and dancers!

A Cd release/Gintaras reunion lunch at Ausros Vartu Parapija is in the works for Sunday, May 16th. We'd love to see you all.
The 1982 "Kur Gintarais" recording has been tranferred to CD, and it merits a release party!
Rimas and Aras Piecaiciai are working on a Powerpoint presentation of old Gintaras pictures. Please get in touch with them if you have any.   All pictures will be returned.
rimas@videotron.ca or gintaras@videotron.ca
Go to "gintaras" on Facebook to see a few of the familiar faces who will be attending! I'd give you a link, but can't figure out how!
Hope to see many, and pass on the invitation!

How many of our lives have not been touched by cancer?
Some people get out there and push themselves to do what they can to help raise funds for cancer research.  Science is moving forward, but not without your help.
Please support Romas as he cycles this summer for you, for me, for all our children, in memory of those who we have lost, and those who have been saved:
The Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting The Jewish General Hospital.
I will join thousands of other men and women in a history-making ride from July 10-11, 2010. I will take part in a two-day ride from Montreal to Quebec with a night of camping. Riders will support breakthrough research and the discovery of new cancer therapies at The Jewish General Hospital, the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec, the Centre hospitalier regional de Trois-Rivičres and the CSSS de Gatineau.
With one in three Canadians diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I am trying to rally for the cause and cycling in The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting The Jewish General Hospital, because…
We have all had people we know; friends and family members who have or have had cancer. This has really hit home for me lately: my brother, sister, mother, and father-in-law have had cancer and are all survivors while my father lost the battle some years ago and my mother-in-law just two years ago. I am trying to do my part in raising funds for cancer research by doing the "Conquer Cancer" cyclothon. My goal is to reach $3200.00 and your help would be greatly appreciated. We can also join together as a team if you would like to participate in the event itself. Any donation is appreciated…every bit helps.
Corporate sponsors are welcome!
Last year’s cycle was marred by torrential rains and cold weather, yet it was one of the most uplifting moments of my life! The cyclists with cancer were identified with yellow flags hung from their bikes. At times, all you saw was a sea of these flags… true survivors.  I will always be indebted to the Jewish General for treating me through my own ordeal back some 20 years ago. They are phenomenal people and I would go to the end of the earth for them let alone Quebec City!!!
